A High Energy Chia Seed Porridge!

This is a porridge recipe like no other! We discussed the incredible benefits of adding chia seeds to your raw food diet plan.

Now, we have a delicious chia porridge for you to experiment with that is easy and simple to make. This porridge is a raw vegan recipe that does not involve cooking or heating like most traditional porridge recipes.

It just takes a bit of soaking and blending, then your good to go. It makes a great breakfast or mid morning meal that will give you the energy endurance to power through your day.

When you add a few of our favorite top 10 superfoods, this porridge can become the perfect superfood meal... intended for those who want a bit more from their food to achieve great things with your time and energy.

You can adjust this recipe to your liking, and over time, expand by adding different natural sweeteners, like coconut sugar. Experiment with adding almond milk and other herbs and spices.

This is the basic recipe we have been a bit addicted to making lately. I usually eat a bowl after a nice exercise session or run, when all my cells are open and hungry for super nutrition that hydrates the body and gives me long burning fuel.

Chia also has the ability to pull in even more nutrients from other foods eaten with it.

It is one of those raw vegan foods that are great when your on the go. The only preparation is soaking your seeds, which can be done the day before and stored in the fridge. A few days after eating this chia recipe I feel an extra softness and sheen to my skin and hair. A nice side effect!

Vanilla Chia Porridge Recipe:

Soak The Chia Seed:

  • 1/4C in 1 1/2C water for 20-30 minutes or more.
  • Or as an alternative, use a strong herbal tea as your base liquid.
  • Stir midway through soaking to break up any clumps.

  1. Blend all above in blender.
  2. Blend just enough to give desired texture.
  3. Pour into a bowl and eat by the delicious spoonful.
Serves 2.
